First, I wanted to thank everyone for helping make the last several months at the NBE Basketball Report a resounding success. Our company, 3-Pt Sports Publishing, LLC, debuted the NBE Basketball Report on February 1, 2008 and in that first month we had 10,000 unique visitors. The site has successfully increased its reach and place on the web and in June we had nearly 17,000 unique visitors (68% growth in five months) and July should eclipse those records.

Now we are at a point where we want to continue the growth of the NBE Basketball Report whilel continuing to give you exclusive and original content from all angles of the Big East, from recruiting right through the time players are drafted into the NBA. Building the site to better manage the content and making the visitor’s experience on our site one that will make them come back over and over again. Increasing the functions of our team pages with more interactive news and stats, more interactive features for the fans to participate and discuss the Big East as well as continuing our coverage and analaysis of recruiting and the players the Big East memebers are recruiting.

In order to do so, NBE needs to find ways to menetize the traffic we have accumulated. One simple way is to go to a subscription format, but we really like to bring our information, thoughts and analysis to everyone. So, we have aggressively tried to line up sponsors and advertisers. The results are slower than expected as many potential sponsors consider this, our busiest and costliest time, to be the off season when they look to spend ad money on a basketball site.

So, with that in mind, we are asking for YOUR help. To help take the NBE Basketball Report to another level once again, we are asking for donations in attempt to keep the site free and limit the amount of ads and advertiser materials on the site and to avoid becoming a subscription site.

If all of our unique visitors gave $1 a month, we’d be set to accomplish ALL of our goals. Donations of $10 or $15 from regular readers, one time, once a year, would allow us to grow the site and get writers at more events and be able to write more stories for you and help the website become what we want it to be.

We will continue to work on advertising and sponsorship revenue as well. Do not worry, if you donate and we decide that the subscription format is what has to be done, any donation in the previous 12 months will be taken off the cost of any decided subscription price.
